ResearchDeskNY

An idea incubator, based in New York.

ResearchDeskNY is the idea incubator of Adrian Szczechura, an independent builder in New York City — the place his projects live while they grow, from first sketch to working thing. Every project below started with something ordinary: packages with nowhere safe to land, books headed for the trash, care that insurance refused to pay for.

One incubator, many ideas. Each project has its own page.

Porter

Buildings rent their amenity access to non-residents — starting with safe package receiving for neighbors whose buildings have none. Luxury market, Upper West Side pilot.

Merchant Wars

A trading game about a merchant moving legal goods across seven ports — tariff wars, storms, and a loan that comes due. A playable version exists as an interactive demo.

Health Legacy Coin

A published concept paper: a nonprofit, dollar-backed health coin for the care insurance denies — dental implants and hearing aids first. What you don’t spend, your family inherits.

Book Rescue — Second Spine

Books on their way to the garbage — from buildings, cleanouts, libraries, and recycling streams — get rescued and triaged for resale, donation, or bulk scanning, and the rescuers get paid.
